Here’s a list of volleyball drills that can help improve various aspects of your volleyball game:

• Target Setting: Set the ball to a specific target, like a hula hoop or a partner’s hands.

... or work on Back Setting.

Practice setting from a variety of positions on the court.
• Off the net working on 4-step.
• Toss behind setter to work on back 2-step.
• Toss tight to the net to work on setting out of the net with a side set.
• Work on "reversing the flow" and have the setter work on pushing their sets far.

• Setter-Hitter Connection: Work on the connection between setters and hitters.

• Have the setters and hitters give feedback to one another.
• Communicate about working on certain shots or running different plays (OH can run in a hit out of the middle to simulate a crossing play).
• Work on speeding up your tempo.

• Hitting Lines: Hitters take turns hitting sets from different positions.

• Block-Defense-Set-Hit: Incorporate blocking, defense, setting, and hitting in sequence.
